Talking JDM Superchip

I just installed my JDM Superchip, and all I can say is HOLY S#@T!!
This truck is on fire. There is power over the entire range and the top end is outrageous, the tranny shifts hard and firm and the shift points have been raised a touch. This is the best bang for the buck I've ever seen.I highly recommend JDM to anyone looking for a chip.JDM ROCKS!!!

I'd firm up those shifts mechanically via a shift kit rather than do it through increase in line pressure (in the chip programming).

cyntaxx,

We do not touch the line pressure in any of our chips.

kmad61,

That's alwys the first mod I recommend to any Lightning owner. You can't beat it bang for the buck wise. I'm glad you like it. If you have any question about the functions of you chip or truck just give me a call at the shop.

Thanks,

Justin@JDM

Justin,

I have one of your chips, probably 18 months old. Has that always been the case? Mine shifts pretty hard and chirps second I guess that is just because of the torque reduction being turned off then?

Great chip guys

Hilander,

Yes, it has always been the case. We take torque reduction off which is a basically a must if you have a modded Lightning and we modify the "shift duration" time. Reply back with your program number on the label and I will see if I have an updated file for you.

Thanks,

Justin@JDM

Thanks Justin,

I will need to pull the chip to check the code number. I will do this soon and send you the info. Good to know you guys do not increase the line pressure, makes me feel better

Can you tell me if I install the FTVB will I need a chip re-burn?

Thanks for your help

I've been told mild line pressure does not result in any major reduction in the longevity of our trannies. My JDM flipchip does have a bit of line pressure but nothing too extreme....

I am more than happy with its performance by the way.

Wimps!! Add some line pressure to your VB's and let it rip. lmao. If it doesnt bark the tires into overdrive, you dont have enough
