What compound are you running? My street/strip compound hasn't had much squeal to it...

I am currently running a pretty hard Axis pad. Have to check the exact compound when I get home. My squeal is the last few feet before coming to a complete stop. Not even a full rotation.

For all those that don't know Pagid pads are junk and I will be replacing them with Hawk blacks in my APs...

Oh yeah, well my Brembos use Ferrari F40 pads.

Seriously, the pad prices are insane. I am VERY happy with the stock Brembo pads. Great for both street and track use. But I bought replacements from Porterfield for about $160. I have them in the back of the truck just in case the OEM Brembo pads decide to throw in the towel this weekend at Willow Springs.

There is a guy here in L.A. with a silver Audi A8 with Stop-Techs on all four and some really nice open wheels. Max pimp factor. Gives up nothing to the Brembos in appearance.

I believe it's a combination of pad compound and road grime/pad dust in the cross drilled holes. Very minor complaint. Well worth it any way you do it.
I agree SVT_KY. $2K for Brembos beats any other option hands down.

But Silver, I have never had a problem with squeaking with the stock Brembo pads. They groan every now and then when easing up a little to move forward, but nearly every pad does that.

What I really like is the cool whine when the pads contact the cross-drilled rotors. So you get whine when you step on the go pedal and whine when you step on the brakes.

Tim,
You may need the new pads this weekend. If I remember right Willow Springs is pretty tough on pads. Fun track though.

Yo Easter,
If he doesn't get them, put me down for the set.

I was lucky, the dude I bought my brembo's from included 3 sets of pads with it, I've only gone through one so far.

Well, after a couple nights of violent arguements
with myself, I have decided to bite the bullet and
get the new BREMBO'S ... Easter....I appreciate the
offer on yours, but the 15K mileage and lack of warranty
swayed me to the new ones. Thanks for the offer.

Besides the new ones are RED .... <GRIN> and they
will be here TUESDAY !!!
