Question????

I put my 6lb pulley , super chip, oil breather cap, denso IT22 plugs on this weekend The truck is running really strong now W00T W00T..... I have only gotten into W00T hard 2 times...

Both times I noticed the truck doesn't shift from 2nd to 3rd until 5600 rpm

Is this normal ?? I got out of it once cause i didn't think it was ever gonna shift scared me

I like the new power, but I am thinking it may need a better tune ??? Who does super chips around alabama ??

It's the transmission managment in the Superchip. I think you would be better off send it to JDM for a re-burn since has so much experiance with these things and uses Superchip's programs.

I only know of a Diablo tuner in Bamy....

5600 isn't too bad....ask Rob 02 what his is!!

Mine shifts at 5500. Your new chip must've raised your shift point up a bit.....

The way I understand it the more power you make the higher your shift points end up being..

I would have the chip adjusted to bring em back down.. you arenet in either the peak torque or HP at that point..

That's true, but it's not the point of a higher shift point.

The point of a higher shift point, is where in the RPM range it brings you WHEN it shifts... So, say it shifts at 5900... If it drops into the next gear at 4500, it's right around peak HP area... Hence his 'SLAM' into the next gear.

It's not always the way to make it fastest, but it helps with some vehicles.
