You need those spacers to lift the snubbers anywhere from 1- 2.5" upwards.

This is why i feel the rancho bars are a better option.

I run Jay Lincolns (PSP) Truck Trak Bars (Slapper Bars)
http://www.truck-traks.com/
http://www.powersurgeperformance.net...pexd.asp?id=56

I sometimes have a little hopping at launch when running the 28x10 Hoosiers and still don't understand why they recommend the snubber to be set sooooooooo far away ????

But I did get (2) back to back 1.6 60 ft times out of them 1st time out, and (6) 1.7's since, even at my crappy local track

Jay's a great guy and he's helping me eliminate the hop right now. In my case I may have to set them a tiny bit closer when running the slicks. I have no hopping at all on street tires and street launching.

The theory behind leaving a space is, IT DOES NOT affect normal driving comfort, and of course you need a little room to spare when putting weight in the truck or hitting bumps.
A solid bar is MAYBE better for launching, but in theory it will affect the ride "a little"

Ron,

Come over to the dark side.

You know you want too.

If not, I will get you a jumprope for all that hopping.

Wize the traction bar has one main purpose, The main is to reduce the axel wrap that you will get when getting good traction on the launch pad. The traction bar will not give you any real traction advantages. Out on a set of slicks, or drag radials and then you will launch much better!

Rob, what clearance are you running now. I have seen a little hop with the 28" tall Hoosiers. It may be due to the stock shocks not being able to control the massive torque, the squeeze on launch, and the weight of the heavy rear axle.

The Truck-Traks are probably unloading due to the spring flexing, and making for a violent reaction. It will probably hook a little more smoothly with less clearance.

Don's Bolt is also selling a set of Hoosier QTP's ( 28x14.5x16 ) on American Racing Baja 16x10 wheels for 300.00.
I am probably coming to the Truck Clash and can bring them if you want them.
