How to set pinion angle on lowered L ?

Looks like I'm backyard mechanic again to day. I got the JLP 3" shackles. I see tilt in the driveshaft in relation to the pinion. How do I do this? how do I know that the angle is on the mark? I know that if you lower the L in the rear with the 2" shackels, it just right. Now it's one more inch. JLP says it's fine, but looking at it, it just doesn't sit well with me. I'd hate to launch and watch my driveshaft twist off. Besides, I can't set the preload on the lower Metco's until I know that the base is set.

Show me some pics if you can on what to do. I'm heading out for breakfast, getting a 12 pack and starting to wrench lunch time.

If you want to get the pinion angle back close to stock you will need to install a pair of 2 degree pinion shims, for every 2" of drop you need to add 2 degrees of shim.

You can measure the angle with a gravimetric protractor ...
They have them at ACE Hardware ... In the carpenter's
area.

May Allah curse you, the banished dark son of Ismail. May 1000 camels ***** on the hood of your Lightning. May Allah give you children that buy Chevrolet Silverado SS's. May Allah give you more defective JDM lower pulley bolts. Praise be Allah.
