Anyone have any news from the event yet? Would love to hear how our L boys are doing in the time trials!!

Wish I could be there, but don't get out of work until 2pm

Tomorrow will be there for sure!! Nice and early to grab some good parking!

For those going/been there - keep us all up to date!!!

1 hour of rain, and from a friend who was there today, the Gen 2's are running 11's.

Temp today was just under 70 degrees with moderate humidity...

Anyone else have other info??

Johnny Lightning pulled a 1.36 60, at least that is the number I remember. He had to pull out of that run, so his trap time wasn't anything special. Nothing much to report until tomorrow night or later as qualfication rounds were all there was today.

there was a Focus wagon that ran a 8.7 or so. it was crazy. Had nitrous installed, but aren't ready to use it yet. It was a Bassani demo vehicle they are working on.

On the other side of the spectrum.........NHRA BIG BOYS

A national record was set In Pro Stock, 6.72 @ 205 by Greg Anderson. That was the second quickest and the all time top speed. He needs to back it up today for it to be a record.

Pro Stock bikes where all running strong with a 6 sec run just around the corner. Hopefully it will happen today. On a side note the Pro Stock Harley went 7.11 and will make the field. It's getting faster at every meet.

Top Fuel was rained out.

Headed back to Englishtown today
Can't wait to take the Lightning there Wednesday night with all the rubber being laid down

Hey Gator, stop by Bob Gilbertsons pit area and tell him I said Hello. I used to wrench for him in an earlier lifetime.
He is rolling out his tribute to "Jungle Jim" car there this weekend.
"Jungle Pam" is going to be staging him after his burn-out.
Should be a nice show. Knowing him as he will probably do a 1/4 mile burnout.
Have fun.

Just got home, and didn't see your post till now Marc. Going back sunday for the finals, but your friend Bob had quite a ride, the chute didn't open and he went into the sand traps, looks like the body got "modded", but he was alright.

In my haste this morning I forgot to say a couple motorcycle riders took a tumble on the big end. The winds where giving the riders fits at 180mph

Kalitta is big dog in Top Fuel 4.51@327
Pedregon in Funny Car 4.76@320
Anderson in Pro Stock 6.68@2.06 And get this a .996 60'
The Bikes I forgot, but the Harley took the #5 qualifer

Well off to watch the Winston
