kick down
kick down
I just got a 2.7 upper and a re-burn to go with the 5# lower that I already have. Put them on and took it for a test run it pulls much harder, but I noticed something I didnt like. I slowed down to like 65 and then steped on it, it kicked down and I noticed that gear seemed not to go completly in until like a sec later. It didnt slip, it did go in but like it pick up a sec later. Its hard to explain. I read on another thread about the TPS setting having something to do with slopy shifts. Did the 2.7 upper change things like vacuum or something, or is there something else? Maybe line pressure droping?

It's the MS between shifting, Talk to the Tuner and ask about it
and let him explain it. My old tunes were 200 MS, I'm not sure what Johnny did this time, BUT I LOVE IT ???
I belive it's measured in Milli Seconds and it's the amount the tranny slips between gears, ANYONE ????
It only happens on the kick down. I was going to send it back again but ill just leave it like that. If it was done, it was done for a reason. The program is for racing only, it still breaks the tires loose when it shifts to 2 ( actually to much).
