Yes, it was a sad day. Truck is in the shop getting the 03 heads, so i took out the SVT Foci to the track to see what it could do.

First pass 18.5 @ 81. I wasnt aware that little car could smoke its tires from 1st,2nd and 3rd gear.

Second pass was a 14.9 @ 94 mph.

I tried desperately to line up against a local guy who put a blower on his SS. he banged out a 15.3, not sure of the MPH.

So, not only do the SS's have to fear bone stock Gen1 and Gen2 L's, but the SVT Focus is another

 

In a previous post I mentioned that the top speed on the
big bad SS is ONLY 104-109 MPH (speed limited)...

Well, he got a 2.1 60'. You would think with awd, a low 60' would be a no brainer. To be fair, the track was at 1100'. Plus, he is only running 5lbs of boost because the compression is so high. Nevertheless, for someone who was talking high 13's before the run, he was very disappointed.

I test drove an SS 2 weeks ago, sales guy was cool he kept saying It was no where near a lightning as in perfromance , the interior was really nice, but not $41,000 worth. I'd buy a harley truck before an SS , in acceleration it felt like a high 15 sec e.t. , felt the same as my 454ss did brand new
