efan and stock pump?

I was wondering if anyone is running the stock water pump with an efan? Heard you can't do it but, I think I might have read some people that have?

I think the twin fan set-up by flex-lite will leave enough room to use the stock pump. But I'm almost 100% sure using other fan setups you willnee to run the cobra pump due to not enough room. Plus the cobra pump is better so why not get it.

I'm using the stock pump with an e-fan. Plenty of room.

I have heard the cobra pump results in lost HP. I am running it with a ruslow under drive pulley. Does that get me my HP back?

Im running the LFP e-fan and Cobra pump, the same fan JDM sells and there isnt any room for the stock w/pump. My buddy is running the dual e-fan setup he bought from Razors Edge, and it has plenty of room for the stock pump.
I call BS on the power loss with the Cobra w/pump. If there is I sure havent noticed it. You'll gain a nice seat of the pants power increase with this swap(fan & pump)! I was really impressed how much better my Lightning accelerated! Its power you can actually feel!
The LFP fan is a plug and play set up, no splicing, cutting, soldering, or anything! And it comes with the a/c switch, manual overide in cab toggle switch for high speed, and other nice features at NO extra cost!

I run an e-fan with the stock w/pump. EVERY dyno sheet posted so far for the cobra pump shows a loss of power. If it flows more water, it's doing more 'work,' causing a loss of power. This is the same reason a high volume oil pump will cause a loss of power. There's no free luch with the fans, either. They put a higher load on the alternator, causing it to do more 'work.' Keep the stock pump and get an e-fan, that's the best setup.

It's flowing more water due to is new impellar design. This allows the coolant to be quickly moved back out unlike the stock style where the fluid gets held up and pushed unevenly riding over the impellar blades.

Has anyone ever offered a explanation of why the Cobra pump is supposed to rob power?
