JLP POWER COOLER...Please help
I need some advice on the JLP power cooler.
1) For anyone that has one...did you notice a big difference in power? What bennifits did you actually see from it?
2) I am looking at the power cooler(engine compartment mount). Does anyone know the type of wiper washer fluid container I need to get for more room.
Thanks,
Rocks

Rocks,
The Powercooler is a piece of the overall puzzle for 1/4 mile racing. It helps lower the temps faster in between runs which should gain H.P.
Once you make a run and the ice is melted and the water is hot it has no benefit. If anything it makes it worse.
I have a Shaker and cannot put a bag of ice on my blower so I had no choice.
It does help in speeding up the cooling process though and with that and the fans I have I can cool down real quick.
I like mine alot.
It uses a Taurus W.W. resivior.

Thanks Vinny,
That is pretty much what I am looking for. Last night my truck was running in the 12.6's. Two darned weeks ago the same truck at the same track ran 12.3's to low 12.4's.
The weather difference was large. 2 weeks ago it was 75 with a 45% humidity. Last night it was 90 with a 75% humidity.
I am hoping to use the power cooler to help even things out a bit.
2 more questions, if ya don't mind.
1) How much ice does the power cooler hold and how long does it last?
2) Does it matter what year wiper fluid container I ask for at Ford?
Thanks Again,
Rocks

1. About a bag and a half of ice and it lasts about 30-40 minutes. It melts pretty fast.
2 Sorry, I do not know. ICULOKN might though. I bought the system from him.
It should help out on those hot days.
