has anyone in Houston done the expy center console modification? If so who did the work and what was the total cost.

Just bought the console off ebay, was 200 bucks, I overpaid but I'm tired of waiting....I'm expecting the actual upholsery work to coust around 100 from a friend and then you need some parts from Ford for the bottom of the seat, the new rail I think....so all in all I would guess around 4-500.

I think Vinnie posted that a couple weeks ago with part numbers and everything.

 

HI!... I just picked up a EXPEDITION center console from my local junk yard for $75.00(CAN) !!!!!!!! It's in 98% perfect condition. Mine is dark graphite and is the tall skinny version. I already have the factory captain's chairs with arm rests so it slid right in pefectly. I also just installed a "02" headliner and overhead LCD console and it fit good.

 

well I spent all day browsing junkyards and hit the jackpot. I found the a wreck expedition that had what I needed. My buddy and I yanked the bottom seat assembly, handle, and rails. For the center console we decided against using the expy console and are just going to make one...more to come.
