Built long block here I come!

Just wanted to celebrate with friends. I work for NVidia (NVDA) and so I have a good number of their shares...

Check out the stock quotes today

Sorry, but Nvidia is in the ****ter since that known flop, AKA.. The FX came out.. It got 0wned by the 9700 PRO and now the 9800 Pro is on its way, with the R350 core coming out with optional 256 megs of ram..

Yup

NV30 was a real F up. It would have been great if it came out when it was supposed to.

Oh well, NV35 is out next week, which gets rid of the NV30 problems.

Besides, stock price and company performance are seldom tied together

Im a total Nvidia supported but gave up all hope because of the NV30... By the time the NV35 tapes out and goes to production, it will be up against the R350.. In all honesty, why NV chose to go with the dual 64 bit memory controller instead of the 128 bit is beyond me. Im holding out untl this summer when i choose wich card im going with.

The irony is the ATI cards working with the Nforce 2 chipset without hickup

Way off topic...

but a couple of things:

NV35 taped out roughly January. It'll be on store shelves in June.

NV30 has a single 128-bit memory interface (32bit crossbar)

ATI has a dual 128 bit(256) memory interface (no crosbar as far as I know)

NV35 has an single 256 bit interface with a 32bit corssbar (aka 8 way).

Back on topic: Wheee! I get some new toys!
