That's not fair. I list one on E-bay sometimes only because there's a cheap imitation on there and I frankly don't like the competition. I only list one at a time, and they generally sell for near retail, or once even more than retail, anyhow, the one listed is already over $200. I think I've sold about 5 on e-bay total, and none of them sold for $165.
The price rise to distibuters was brought about becuase Ford Parts and Service noticed someone was buying them and they more than doubled the list price. I don't pay list, but my price did go up. Go to Ford Parts online and see how much a stock one goes for (F81Z-7G422-AB), and then I have to gut it and replace the innards, which has some costs, too. And I strongly suspect that some of the competitors are still getting parts that were in the supply chain before the price increase, so they may have to raise their prices, too. All of the other ones that I have replaced, (long story, but I've done a few rebuilds of someone elses parts) are in the old box, the box changed at about the same time as the price, so I kind of think that the third party supplier of those parts had some stock and hasn't had to re-order since the price increase. Trust me, I'm not making as much per unit as the dealers on them, and the few I've sold at auction are piddling as a percentage of my total sales.
The "sale" I ran last year was another thing. I take July off every year, and I notify my dealers on the first of June that I need all invoices paid before I go, I use it for my vacation money. Last year I had $9,000 of A/R, and 20 units in stock that I bought the parts for because someone told me they wanted them and then backed out on the day before I went on vacation and I blew a gasket, to tell the truth. I wasn't about to blow my vacation because I spent the vacation cash on parts and didn't get paid after giving 30 days notice on invoices that were "Net 15' in the first place, so I sold the ones I had here. I've since changed a lot of my billing, and my current dealers are much better at paying the bills, so I wouldn't count on it happening again. I do regret that I punished all the dealers last year for what amounted to something that not all of them were a part of.

Well put jgstang67. I agree 100%. I had a couple of questions about the VB and Gregg has never hesitated to quickly respond to them. By far my favourite mod thus far.

He built'em- let him market them any way he wants.

Why the hell would anyone even think about ripping Gregg for listing HIS OWN valve body on ebay for WHATEVER PRICE HE WANTS????

You know that it's going to go up to roughly $200 or so..............What if he listed it for $.99? Does that mean he is FURTHER undercutting his own distributors?? NO!!!!!

It means that he'd rather pay $.30 listing fee instead of $2.20 for an item that he knows is going to reach retail. It's called being smart, and economically conscious when using EBAY.

Gregg, you need not defend or justify yourself here, or on any forum......................you know you've gained a countless number of devoted customers here, and for every 1 or 2 ********, you have about 500 or so willing to stick up for you.

If anybody was to crap on a vendor from this forum I would just stay out of it.All of the tuners had problems at one time or another.

Greg on the other hand ,(aka Factory tech) has ALWAYS answered ANYBODY who has asked a question.Anybody who says hes all about $$ is freakin MORON!!!! and has never delt with him.Ive been here since the begginging of time and i have NEVER heard of a complaint about customer service and actually VERY few complaints about defects(like maybe 1)...............

Ive always praised him not cause of his product but because of his customer service which is second to NONE.Ive never even delt with him up til recently but i know an honest vendor when i see one......

He is not all about money,Hes all about customer service and to top that.His valve bodys are cheap at double the price........
