The stock is a 130amp Alternator.
I talked to the guy at Mr. Alternator that makes the 200amp for the L.
What he does is buy a 130amp Ford alternator, then upgrade's the internals with better parts and will powdercoat the outside in any color for an additional $25.

He told me I should have no problem with using the stock wire harness.
Most serious audio guys will run new wire instead of using the stock harness!

TampaBlack99-

You bought a nice piece.
I will be getting one of those as soon as my stock gives out.
That may not be long with 2000 watts.

Installed the alternator last night, thing works great, pegs 14v on the gauge almost all the time.

I had my stereo loud (1,450watts), electric fan runnning , neon on , headlights on, and AC going and the gauge still read 14v!

Install really sucked. The only good thing about it was I learned how to remove the S/C pulley support bracket so now I can polish it and repack the bearings myself.

If you plan on doing this yourself you will need to remove:

Both Belts
Radiator Hose
Intake System
and S/C Pulley Support Bracket

and then the alternator will come out! It helps to have a 2nd person there also.
