SONIC BLUE '03 Lightning

I don't know, I am severely torn between keeping my 2000 Expy, or becoming a real man, and getting a Lightning.

I knew I could come here, and get a straight answer, so tell me Lightning owners, if you could choose between either, which would you have?

A 2003 Sonic Blue Lightning
a 2003 Expedition Eddie Bauer

Or, keep the 2000 Expedition

Decisions, decisions....

Do it! I got rid of my blazer and love this vehicle. It's a rush everytime you're behind the wheel. I have been without my vehicle for 12 days now and can't stand it! It needs a tunes upgrade though, but I haven't been listening due to my fascination with blower whine!

Depends on what you're looking for. If you haul around family keep the Expy. Also, if your main hobby is car stereo, bling bling, etc. then also keep the Expy.

If you want a fast, great looking and great-handling truck, get the Lightning.

Let's see. You come to a Lightning forum and ask if you should buy a Lightning. Hell yea, get a Lightning.

But don't ask this question on a Yugo forum, or they might convince you to get a Yugo.

The reality is, what do you need a vehicle to do for you? You're the only one that can answer that question. Good luck in whatever you choose.

Talking

decision time, an expedition or a "LIGHTNING",
let's see, one's for getting from point a to point b, and the other one's for kicking the crap out of the rest of the alphabit, making each and every other letter wish they were you.
decisions, decisions,,, glad i don't have to make this one (anymore)

I test drove one in 2000.

You guys have confirmed what I already felt.

Yeah, I have gotten used to the room, (Expy) but- it is room with no zoom, and I've never had a sports car (OR Truck). With the L, I can have both....

A truck that can smoke most pure sports cars, and still bring home a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood.... Best of Both Worlds!

Test Driving tomorrow!

Bighersh,

I'm in Plano, TX and if your serious, go check out Bankston and Middlekauf!

I'm pretty sure they'll X-Plan (not sure!) The coupla' times I've been up there, their corral of SVT products isn't moving too fast.

Just go to eaa.org or something and drop $40 and get the membership and X-Plan da' b#tch!

Bankston has a S/B L and she's HOT! That was my first choice for my L, but the X-Plan w/out "proving" it and the '03 rims just don't do it for me, made me choose mine.

I just installed chikenears cold-air filter and the S/C really comes alive now!

Basically, if you have the discretionary $ to spend, do it if that's what you FEEL! I did.

Ronald

Ugh.................Hell Yeah, the LIGHTNING

If you really wanted the Expy, you would have asked the question in the Expy forums, right?

If this helps.......I'm trading my 2003 Expedition Eddie Bauer for a Sonic Blue lightning...hopefully tomorrow. This will be my 4th Lightning. (93, 00, 01, 03)
