Thumbs up Best bang for the ($800) buck?

Plan on dropping about $800 at WFC6, should any of the tuners bring some go-fast goodies to sell (hopefully at a reduced WFC rate)

Currently I have:
3# lower
Diablo chip - tuned for firmer shifts, etc...
JL Open element 12" with ram-air
all this lets me run a 12.7@107

My wife wants me to buy parts that'll make the truck faster, rather than look nicer (GOD I love her ).

I was thinking...
6# lower
E-Fan?
Factory Tech VB with pan

Currently my shifts from 1-2 under WOT are somewhat soft, and I'd love to engage 2nd a heck of a lot quicker...

Thoughts anyone? Or did I hit the nail on the head?

There is no real bang for the buck after chip/pully combo and unless you plan on your motor going boom,i would not go any higher in boost.I would definatly go with

FT valve body $225
2 inch drop shackles..$50
JDM E fans..........$400??
Drive shaft loop$50

With the rest, take your wife out to eat seeing she lets you spend money on a stupid truck

mod money

I agree go with the FTVB, fan and water pump, the truck has better throttle response and shifts fantastic. Good luck, Todd

HAH!

She gets PLENTY, let me assure you

As far as drop shackles, I just don't want to lose payload capacity - I still use the truck for "truck" purposes every now and again.... and I'm not ready to pay for airbags/etc just to lower it and keep that functionality.

I'm hoping 'cash in hand' still has the power it used to... I remember being able to go to Canal St. in NYC and get killer deals on stuff, just cuz I had some moolah on me . Hope the vendors want to play "Let's make a deal" ..heh

I would say the factory tech VB as well, Im going to do one soon. That way you can take the "firm shift" program out of your chip...its much safer to use the VB than to increase pressure with software, youll wear that pump out after a while
