Why add 30 lbs for a hood which just looks good when you can cut a hole and add a lund scoop and it be functional?
I plan on replacing my hood with tin foil....

don't do it... they look silly and goofy.
get a civic and put an erector set wing on it... just to get it out of your system. those stick-on pieces of crap look so silly.
why cheapen the front of a good looking truck???

Kind of a silly thought. You're afraid to add 30lbs to a 5000lb truck...

Sure, if you don't care about the look of the hood, that's one thing. But I hope it's not the only thing preventing you from putting one on.
hummmm HELLOOO???? What did I type? I said I wouldnt add another 30lbs to the nose of my truck... and my truck does not weigh 5000lbs...

and yes I do happen to care how the hood looks, and the lund scoops do not look bad in my opinion, I have seen them first hand many times.

your assumption is a SILLY THOUGHT

stock hood, aluminum, nice and LIGHTWEIGHT! add a lund scoop that functions to bring in cool air and its a great hood!

aftermarket hoods look really neat, wouldnt mind a nice cowl of my own, however im unwilling to put 30+ lbs on the nose of my truck just for the look.
Guess Iam luck, because I got that heavy aftermarket hood into the 11's

It would look right at home on a TAHOE! Not a lightning though

Wink

I got one question, what the hell is a Scroop? lol
Just kidding Jeff, I couldn't help it.
In my opinion, I don't care for the stick on things either, but hey it's your truck so if you like it go for it.

Have driven mine in all kinds of bad weather with no problems. The way my air box (Air Raid) is very little if any gets into the filter. Now I havent driven 70+ MPH in a bad rain storm either

ask BEEFCAKE about these... he seems to really like them as they were on both of his trucks.... waiting for them to appear on his Ranchero.
