Just got off the phone with Jim@JDM, here are the details from the Fun Ford Weekend in Houston, TX-

38 Lightning's and HD's in the Class

Congratulations to-

(Winner and Runner-Up both running JDM chips )

Other Notables- Paul Gamino 11.53 and Leonard Watson 11.68 both running JDM Built motors w/ stock blowers posted some impressive #'s in 90+ degree TX heat, and 100% humidity.

Jim@JDM went out in the 2nd round (Red-Lighted)

He wanted to thank everyone that participated.

And a special thanks to-
-Noel for assisting the Lightning Class with their Dial-Ins.

-JR (FLA Club) for taking care of everyone all weekend.

-Paul "Get-N-Go" Gamino for his Sat Night BBQ feeding 60 people including "Big Daddy" Duane Gutridge, Evan Smith (MM&FF), and everybody from the Fun Ford Weekend.

Jim and Shaun are staying in TX a few extra days to install another JDM Built Motor as planned, and will post pics when they return Friday.

Jeremy,
Thanks for sharing the info with us, it is nice to hear that it was a good turnout. I heard they even had a Die Hard Lightning enthusiast there all the way from Mass.

I'd like to give JDM a big thanks for helping me out during the weekend trying to diagnose the problem with my truck. Even though limited in their abilities without a shop to do it. You are an awesome bunch to do what you did for me. Made my weekend a lot better than it could have been.

Got me a chip burned I traded with superchips so I could run without my truck dying. Changed my plugs at no charge and a coil pack (I had) to fix a miss. Paid to run my truck after making changes in Gallop for the Gold (after I missed time trials) to see if the problems went away. I borrowed money to give Jim for that and he didn't even take it. Did a lot of things just to try to help out other Lightning owners as well.

You guys were great!

Thanks!

Lena

I really had a great time on Sunday (as fun as you can have not racing). I got to meet Jim, Don, and even Stan (Ruslow). The one thing I noticed was no matter how hard you try you cannot get Noel to tell you how he really feels.

I had his blower on my truck til Sunday morning. I pulled it off and gve it back to him. Thanks Paul.
Unfortunately the 10# lower and 3# upper pulley was too much for te 8 rib belt.

Well,

I didn't get any of the free Bar-B-Q, or the free help from JR with anything.

But I did have a good time Hanging with the Texas group of Lightning owners.

And I do want to thank Doug for standing out in that hot azz sun for 2 1/2 days taking the great pics that help us to remember the good times.
