Launched a plug in Feb. Called Atascadaro Ford and told them I knew what was wrong. They ordered me a new head and coil in advance and called me when they arrived. (I have previously never done any business with this service dept. Had L flatbeded 80 miles to them and was treated with respect form the first minute. Loaner car was waiting. Four days later New head installed and coil installed, Eight new plugs installed. New updated fogs, and a few minor other problems fixed. Truck delivered washed, detailed including engine bay. Total cost of deal was parts, about 14 bucks for the other 7 plugs rreplaced and properly torqued at my request. About 3 weeks later rec'd check from Atascadaro Ford to cover the extra miles for the tow not covered by Ford because they were not the closest SVT dealer. So far (fingers crossed) no new pbms.

Just some good news for a change.

Awesome. The problem with this forum is very seldom does anybody post the good stories, they only want to post the negatives. By reading this forum, you would think every mechanic and dealership is bad or a crook, which is far from the truth. There are a lot of good dealers and mechanics, you just have to make sure you know which ones to go to. I've had very good success with a few dealers around my area also.
