That would leave me to belive that my chip is a little on the lean side. I had 1 gal of Toulene in less then 1/2 tank with 93 octane.

I know you probably spent a lot of money on your truck. You should look into getting a wideband O2 such as the FJO. I believe the FJO is one of the main reasons I haven't blown my engine so far.
I've been running straight 93 octane, 2.5"upper and 2lb lower, with TR6's and haven't had any problems yet.

Using [(x * 93) + (y * 114)] / (x + y) = z

with 12 gals of 93 and 1 of Tolulene yields 94.6 Octane.
Not exactly a "race" gas, huh?

I was told the formula was 4 gals per tank. I gauge read above the quarter. Perhaps I was not clear enough. Sorry about that.:o

Cool

Are those stainless steel valves?

Is that a different plug than the one that was originally in the burnt or chipped valve cylinder?

Doug all my plugs were helicoil the solid type. No wonder my helicoil came out with my plug, thay were burned togather. And the other question: those are stainless, with a differant plug. Like changing that plug was going to help any.

I would say the heat from the severe lean condition. Look how crunchy that valve is. Hell, KFC would be jealous of Tim's secret crispy recipe. Im surprised the helicoil didnt melt honestly. I bet your a/f hit 13.1!

***** I'll bet it was leaner than that! A lot if people run 13:1 with chips, although it is on the dangerous side with added timing.
