DTC P0125, need help

Hey guys, my new 03L has been throwing an SES light lately when cruising on the freeway. Clearing it with the battery doesn't help as it comes back. Had it scanned at Autozone today and it came up as DTC P0125 - Insufficient Coolant Temperature for Closed Loop Fuel Control. I have a 160 degree thermostat installed. Same thermostat on my 01L gave me no problems. Is it possible it has failed? Maybe it's not installed correctly? I really don't want to put the stocker back in with the hot weather coming here soon in Phoenix. Anybody else see this?
Thanks, Jeff

I would try running a 170 thermostat. I heard that 160 was too low for our trucks. But then again you said you had no problems with your 01. If it was installed wrong it would have should itself in the first 15 min of runnig because it would be overheating. Gie the 170 a try.

recheck any connections you might have missed.I really doubt that you could /would get a code for running that thermostat.Sounds more like a bad connection.Unless FORD is really getting picky with computer programs Just for mods which is probally not the case.

Thanks for the ideas everybody. I'll check connections tomorrow and pull the thermostat.

Here's an informative thread(although, the author is a little 'squirrerly'):

Remember, the O-ring lies on top of the 'stat when you go back in.
