2nd Tranny cooler with aftermarket converter?

How many of you with an aftermarket stall converter have installed a secondary tranny cooler to augment the stock one?
I'm looking at the Derale fan mounted cooler (#13750) and the 180 degree thermostat. Anyone using this cooler or a different model please provide some feedback.

This is in regards to a Lightning specific application so why the bump if that's what you are trying to say. So, add some helpful information if you have it and everyone will be

Honestly, I don't think I'd add an additional cooler. I'd think about replacing the factory heat exchanger, possibly with something larger, or with a fan, but I think that 2 coolers would be too much.

As you'll see some others say, it's not good to have your tranny fluid TOO cool...

And, Lightningrod 'bumped' it to the top for you.

I believe Dan was trying to help you out by moving it to the top of the page, hence bump or TTT (to the top).

Hey, how are ya Gatorman? Are you coming down for the FFW in Richmond? It doesn't appear many guys are running an additional cooler so i'm gonna just hang with the factory one and buy some Boyd Coddington wheels instead!!!!!

Hey my brother

Planning on making the trip,...... but,...... you better sit down for this one........

Iam looking to "hook-up" with a rather large corporation as one of their welders, instead of playing the construction game. If it DOES happen, then Iam sure there will be no time off for a while. If it does happen, it will be a great position for myself.

Boyd's.......
me want wheels too

i did install a, actually third cooler, stock L's have two, one in the radiator and one small one next to the power steering cooler, my third is installed behind the i\c heat exchanger, with two spall 6.5 inch ele fans, i did ask if i should bypass one or the other and Greg (factory tech) replied just to keep all of them, and it has worked fine so far..adv temp from the service post on a 80 degree day is about 165...
