Am I wrong to assume

Am I wrong to assume that when I take my truck into a dealer and they have to drive it around for an hour or more that I should get back the gas they wasted. I mean I went to pick it up and it was at the Empty line and when I brought it in it was atleast half full. Am I also wrong to assume that when I pick up my truck that it should look the way I brought it in. I came to pick it up and there was dirt and bugs and bird crap all over it and I had detailed it 3 days ago. Also the plug in the passenger side rear tire that they were suposed to put in was not there because when I got home the tire had 16 psi in it. Needless to say I am really pissed this just tops the week off.

I'm sorry to hear crap like this

Look who your dealing with

Sad but true

I've been blessed so far to never have my Lightning out of my hands or in any dealership or shop. Everything it has I did on my back on a blue stone driveway (OUCH)

You know what they say,
No Pain
No Gain

Funny you bring this up...

On monday, i brought my SVT Focus in to get the PCM reflashed due to high idle, pulling to the left and my electric sunroof fixed. I get the car back with 1/4 tank of gas missing and nothing done. Now thats a lot of fockin driving in a Foci man to drink 1/4 tank of fuel! My usual service advisor wasnt there and when i picked up the car, it was a night pickup, i couldnt talk with anyone except some mouthy salesman who told me " dont work about it, you can afford SVT products "

Tuesday morning i get a call from the dealership. Nice woman who does follow up's with customers who bring their cars in for service. I told her i would never go back theree for service and also tell fellow owners about what happened. She was very apologenic and got a hold of the owner for me.

The followiing day, i get a call from the owner who insist i should bring the car back and he will make sure every inch of the car is inspected and if need be, fixed. He also wanted me to point him out to a staff member who told me " not to worry about it."

I headed down there and they immediately took my car into posession and began diagnostics. In the meantime, the owner walked with me and we talked for a good hour or so. As i was headed to the courtesy shuttle with him, i pointed out the guy who made that comment. He called the guy over and asked if he recognized me from the night before. The guy said yes and the owner fired him on the spot.

Needless to say, they called me to tell me the car was ready the following morning and sent the shuttle for me. When all was said and done, i had a new moonroof, pcm was fixed, car was serviced and they worked on the frame as it was the cause of the pulling to one side.

If you can get a hold of the service manager, start there. Generally with customer complaints that are severe in nature, they head straight up to the GM, if not higher.

Don't even get me started, oh wait you already did, this week has been a week full of LIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say I am pissed and more importantly my brother is pissed since he is getting his chain jerked. If I wasn't about to run out the door there would be a long post for everyone to read. I promised my brother I would post it for him so I will but later. To get things started I don't want anyone to think it is tuner bashing, it is simply the truth. -Mat-

LMFAO @ Rob! Man, you just aint right. Everytime I see your user name pop up, all I can see is that pic you posted of yourself years ago sitting in the lawn chair by the pool with the long a$$ hair and that stoned outa my mind facial expression!

BLK02- Man, I wont even go there about my dealership experiences, but you never get your truck back in the same shape you left it in!!! And yes, they thrash the chit out of it when your gone!! Its so bad, Im fixing my own head gasket leak because I refuse to take it back to them, besides the service mgr. says Im too particular about my truck and he doesnt have a tech that can work on it without damaging it in some way! Thats all I needed to hear. Tried calling Ford customer service........they're all morons abd dont seem to give a crap! Ive had my Lightning two years now(01 model) and have 9,000 miles on it and all I asked was to get it back in the same shape I left in and they cant do it!

And yes this week sucks! I ordered a efan and w/pump from Mark @LFP on monday and he said Ill have it by thursday at the latest. Its now Friday night and I havent seen it!! I have my L back together and cant do chit now because I dont have my parts!! WTF?

Damn, sorry so long, but this post got my blood flowin'!

Ok I have an idea, but you need a good battery. First get a power converter. Mount a motion sensor inside the cab so the power is only on when someone’s in or around the truck. Then hide a Mini pinhole lens camera with sound, and put a VCR under you seat or hide it somewhere in your in truck before you take it in for service. Then when you go pick up your truck (bring some jumper cables just in case). You will have it all on tape should anything out of the ordinary occur.

D@mn so I'm not the only one that got phucked this week! Went to pickup up my L today from Firestone (Got suckered into their lifetime alignment special). Well as I am paying for the alignment I ask for the before and after spec sheets. I was told that they were experiencing printer problems at the time and did not have them for the after specs. Err....... Anyway the service advisor starts commenting about ***** (mods) under my hood. I ask him if he drove my truck, and he says yes. I'm thinking to myself if anyone should drive to test for proper alignment, it would be the technician. Well, I'll tell you that put me on edge! Anyway, I went to my truck and as soon as I open the door I smell some sort of cleaner. As I looked down at the driver side Okole seat cover I find black grease marks on the gray area on the bottom cushion. Son of Bitc#! Looks like someone apparently made a half a$$ attempt to cleanup before I arrived. Now, I'm like most folks on this board that take every precaution when it comes to the appearance and well being of the L, I mean every mod, I have personally installed (Roush Susp, Modified QA1s, Long Tubes, Bassani Cat, FT Valve Body, JDM E-Fan/water pump, AccuFab Throttle Body, Etc..ect). I've never put a scratch or put phucking grease and grime on **** where it didn't belong. This was the first and only time I've let my truck out of my hands, and these jack a$$es ***** ***** up. I go into the office and proceed to tell the service advisor about the grease. His first response was "that's not grease, that's WD-40"........ WTF!!!! basically they attempted to clean the black grease off the seat cover with WD-40 and then attempted to use some cheap @ss upholstery cleaner. Long story short he has accepted to pay the bill to replace the cover. To wrap this up, as I was driving home, the L was tracking to the left and the steering wheel had not been aligned as I requested. Man, only in America can you PAY a service center to take your vehicle for a free fun filled "test drive", sit their greasy @sses down on your clean seats, and then charge you for work that was either not done or done a$$ backwards. All I can say is sometimes I wish I didn't have good home training!

For those of you suspecting repair facilities of over driving your vehicles, there is a simple solution. Discuss what they will do for a road test and explain to them that you have written down the mileage (in fact most shops will put this on the owrk order) and you expect it to be in reason of what a test drive should be. I've very seldom ever had any problems with my vehicles when it's had to go in for repairs.
