Great service from JDM

I bought a programmer for my 02 so i would not have to hack into the computer for warranty issues.I tried it with my 4lb pully and it "didnt work so well" detonation .Jim told me to try it and if i didnt like it.send it back.I called JUSTIN at JDM yesterday and asked him to swap it for a regular 2 way chip instead of a refund.(once i felt the difference with a chip/pully compared to just a pully, there was no lookin backYes for those of you who want more power with no chip,A pully will probally do it for you.But I need a little more throttle response and cleaner shifts which can be done by chip.Anyway,This is where TRUST comes in.I wanted to race today so so i asked if he would trust me to send the progammer back and for him to overnight the chip to me so i could have it today.HE DID and it was very trusting and professional of him.I got it today and put it in.regardless of how i like the chip,That customer service was GREAT!

Now for the chip.I dont know times yet but it feels like a decent tune.better throttle response, better crisper shifts and all around,This truck acts like it is stock other than the increased power.Im very suprised as HOW REFINED it is.Ive had everybodys chip and I can tell the difference.Alot of tuners chips seem to have a little more power but you can tell by the program that it is not as streetable and "clean" as JDMs.Sals also has a very "streetable" chip. This is exactly what i wanted in a chip,Not too aggressive( I dont want problems) but enought power that you can DEFINATLY tell the difference.Dont get me wrong,Im not saying its lacking power ,rather the power is just so damn clean and refined,i cant believe how streetable it is.Im going to the track tonight for ONE time only just to see how this program and 4lber works out.Even if it only knocks off a few tenths,im keeping it cause it seems safe.Ill probally run 12s though seeing I ran 13.60s stock 1 week ago.by the way,I just went around my town and "broke in" dons bolts hoosiers quick time pros that were in my garage They should hook good tonight!

As you guys know,Im probally the most outspoken, honest person youll know.I speak what i feel good or bad and this experience was a good one.

Now for my times........................see you around 11pm

Thumbs up

Good post Ray, and good luck at the track tonight.
Oh, and did anyone tell you that you bought the best color again?
Great choice.
I will see you at the track soon.
Bill

I'll second that opinion. I've been pleased with my JDM chip, very streetable, and no detonation, unlike my first chip from a different tuner (not one on this board). I sent it back to be re-burned for a different pulley, and Anthony called me to make sure they understood what parameters I wanted. I call that good service. And then a day or so later Justin called to tell me that my heads had shipped, and gave me the tracking numbers. Thanks, JDM.

(And this is not to put the knock on any other vendors by innuendo. I am not in any tuner's "stable", I buy from whoever I think is selling the product I want at the best price. I buy from PSP and LFP, too, and Sal and Mark are both excellent to deal with. Ain't competition wonderful?)

JDM rocks brother. I recently drove from Va Beach to Cecil (approx 600 plus miles round trip) ran one 1/4 at 12.5@109 on the JDM street program with full weight, no race gas, and Nitto's. Yeah, i'm pleased and after 9 months with the chip no detonation or problems of any kind in any weather extreme. I guess i should try the race program next time!
