Was in W.R., GA last weekend ......

And saw two Red Lightning's. Saw the first one on Russell Pkwy parked by the road. It looked lowered with a ram air hood. This was all on Monday the 28th in the afternoon. Anyone here?
The second one we passed going down houston lake road that same afternoon. My bro and sis-n-law thought I was weird by pointing out all the Lightnings I saw. I really freaked out when we passed a Sonic Blue one heading north on 75 to the airport. It was heading south so I almost got a crick in my neck I was looking so hard.
It sure was good to be home, even for only 4 days. Went to the Lane Peach plant. Looked for some good boiled peanuts but couldn't find any that were worth a chit. Road around and saw how much W.R. is booming, especially down Watson Blvd. Spent some time in Columbus with family. I didn't realize how much I missed my GA home until I went back. I sure didn't want to leave.

Glad you could visit us!

If the one that you mention parked by the road on Russell Pkwy. is the one in front of Vallarte's mexican restaurant, is it FAKE. It is however a VERY good imposter. I thought it was real too, until I saw him at the car wash one day. He was spraying under the hood as I was leaving, so I stopped and got out of the truck to say "hi". As I was walking up to his truck, he closed the hood really quick but not before I noticed that is was a regular 5.4.

I have since more closely examined his truck. He works at Vallarte's and always parks it next to the road. It has drum brakes on the rear, chrome 20" Lightning look-a-like wheels, cloth interior, Lightning look-a-like aftermarket clear tail lights, ram air hood, N/A 5.4 Triton engine.

But it does look like genuine L ground effects, front facia, exhaust, and rear bumper. This guy did one hell of a job making a poser. I saw him on the street one day and pulled up next to him. He wouldn't even look my way! A real L brother would not have acted like that!

BTW, next time you are in town look me up!

Sammy

We'll do Sammy. The wife and I plan on taking my S2000 on a road trip back there this June. Looking forward to it!
Yep, I believe that is the truck you're talking about. Posers =

Rob: You dork ! Why didn't you post or call one of us before you slipped away?

I thought you were describing Masterloggie's L as his is red with a hard bed cover. But you would have been blinded by it, it's so shiny-red !

Sorry you didn't catch one of us 'real' L guys though the sonic blue one was real. I think we saw it the other day as my wifw said a guy at Ken's Stereo(Watson Blv'd) just got one.

You can reach me or leave a message(weekdays) at 1-800-926-2136. Ask for

Dan
