I just got back from a TALON meet here in Dallas and...

the fan shroud decals (belt arrangements, etc) on the '02 Ls are in English and French (I double-checked on mine). Understandable since they're made in Canada.

BUT, the '03 Ls are in English, French AND ARABIC !

WTH FORD ?!?

 

FoMoCo exports all over the world. And rather than have differant stickers for differant markets, they just combined some or all of them. Back in 99, there was rumor of a 450+HP Lightning that was exported to the middle east...

 

I was at the meeting tonight, maybe Canada was thinking about a US invasion! LOL
I am going to check that on my 03.

 

Yep! I understand that back in '99/'00, some dealership back East exported like 5-6 Ls to Germany by container ship.

I understand there are Ls in Sweden, England and Australia.

How cool is that for Ls to be hauling-@ss down the autobahns of Germany with Porsches/BMWs/Benzs ?!?

This kind of reminds me of my bus. trip to SF 2 years back when I saw a sign that said a no-swimming in the Pacific Ocean in English, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Russian, etc.

Oh, and another compare/contrast, the '02 I/C coolant is green. The '03 I/C coolant is this Mt. Dew/p#ss color!
