Does Nos F up your truck?

I was looking at all the mods I can do to my truck, and probably last on the list is nitrous. What kind of performance gains(1/4 time gains) can you "safely" get with nos. Don't want 1 fast run the have to get a rebuilt motor....

Also what is the difference in Wet/dry shots.. I see people posting about his, but I'm clueless..

Thanks

nitrous gives you great gains, relatively safely if you set it up right, 5 tenths or more are easy with under a 100 shot. do a search on "nitrous" and youll see that many members have sprayed countless bottles through stock motors and they still live strong. make sure you have a your chip tuned for it

In general NOS does not give incredible power to Lightnings as it does on N/A engines.Once you are highly modded and running big boost and high heat it basically acts like a cooler for the intake charge making your runs more consistant.Yes it adds power but if you keep it around 50hp,you wont see much different but it will probally be SAFER if I dare say so with the right tune keeping temps in check. My .02

Nitrous can be safe if set up correctly. I wouldn't spray too much on our stock motors though. 100 shot tops if you're already running extra boost (pulleys).

Wet shot adds fuel. Dry does not.

uhmmm, no.

If anything nitrous will make more power on a supercharged vehicle then it will with a N/A vehicle.

when spiro first starting using juice, he would spray a 100 shot and he picked up more then a full second. he went 11.40's with a 150 shot and a 2lb lower pulley, stock bottom end, stock TB, stock exhaust, and just about everything else. Its all in the tune.

NOS = Nitrous Oxide Systems

NOS is a brand of nitrous products. Stop watching Fast and The Furious.

NOS is less typing than "nitrous oxide (N20)" and if you wanna be picky... it's "THE Fast and The Furious"

Here's my last 6 runs
4 without juice
(2) 12.7's and (2) 12.8's without Juice

2 with juice
(2) 12.0's @112MPH with juice (65HP Jets)

Same Tune, NO OTHER CHANGES

Seems like a BIG differance to me
6/100ths of a second away from an 11 with a 4lb pulley
