Going to Ford tomorrow to look at a Cobra. TRade in $ for L?

Whats up guys. Just got off the phone with Ford and they offered me X-plan pricing on a 03' Sonic Blue Cobra. Going to take a look at it tomorrow. I am sure they are going to offer me d*ck for the L, but for sh*ts and giggles what should I expect? It's an 01 with 25000 miles on her.

Oh yeah, why am I looking to get rid of it? The wife wants a baby and I need something with four seats

trade in would be $21,000 but I am sure you could sell it on your own for the $23,000 figure Joe mentioned.

I am hoping for 23k. This will be the third car I have bought from them in a year, so it would be nice if they took care of me. I'm in no hurry to get rid of the L anyway, so if they insult me with a 18k offer I will laugh and leave.....

If you are in no hurry, then purchase the Cobra and sell the Lightning on your own. Worst comes to worse is you get something equivalent to a lowball dealer trade-in offer, but there is far more potential of you getting what you want out of her.

Plus if you have any mods you'd like to sell, cyntaxx@yahoo.com

That was actually a great deal if it were a trade. I would expect $18,000 from an individual buyer.

I traded my 01L for a new 03 Cobra about 8 months ago and they gave me $25,000 for mine,IMO if your L is clean and low miles you should see about $23,000 on a new trade for a 03 Cobra.Good luck!

You have to remember he traded his in before the new model year came out. The market is flooded with them right now..............take a peak in the classifieds.........like 60% of the trucks for sale are Lightnings.
