come on! their 5.9l made less horsepower and torque than our 5.4 liter and the chevy 5.3! Thats ridiculous!
So by your unbelievably awesome conclusion making skills the Gen 1's and their 351's are POS also?

And ford can't make an engine for ***** either, because a NA 348(Z06) made more HP then your SUPERCHARGED 331!!!

That's not my logic talking, it's yours

I have a Lightning and an R/T and I like them both for what they cost. The R/T however is a complete gas hog for no more than 250 horsepower. You won't pass many gas stations. On the positive side, my wife has used the R/T for a daily driver for a year and a half and it has been very reliable even with the few mods it has. If you got a club cab you can look for mid 15's stock and if you got a regular cab you should see high 14's. You can put about 3 grand into a cam, intake manifold, throttle body, headers & duals, reflash the computer, cold air intake and see mid 13's but to see some 12's you'll need nitrous or some serious motor work. I like the looks of both trucks but the Lightning is hands down the better bang for the buck. Hope you enjoy your new R/T.

Guess someone didn't see the latest unemployment figures...Highest level is in the I.T. industry.............

Don't let these guys get you down. I have several good friends who own R/T's and love them. I hang out on the R/T forum over on Delphi, nice group, who don't seem to be as judgemental as this group has become the last year or two.

IT is D.E.A.D except for the few fortunate souls still employed in it.
Anyone see the CBS national news last night???...for every one job opening there have been 1000-3000 applications. I've been layed off now for 11 months now...have sent out 425 top class resumes...know how many calls I've got from employers???
one stupid phone call...and Iv'e got background a very strong background in *Networking *Security *Infrastructure *Forensics *Data Recovery and *24/7 emergency on call support...I'm at my wits end ...people that are in IT and working have not a dam idea how really bad it is...It is horrible.

I know the situation your in, here in California and specifically the Silicon Valley area they are suffering greatly. There are nick areas in the market, but as a whole the I.T. industry is simply top heavy with qualified people. I spent my last couple of years working in a High Tech Crimes Investigation Unit, so I have some knowledge of the industry. All I can say is that for those still gainfully employed, good luck on keeping ahead of the next generation being pumped out of technologically based education systems like India, etc.

Good luck with your job search.

Thanks for your reply...I'll keep on trying for a while longer but
this "process" is taking a heavy toll on my spirit...I just hate to throw away years of hard won knowledge and judgement...
I wish you the best in your field...and save all the money you can
for an uncertain future.
