Sucking sound

This is a total newb question but i did a seach and didn't find anything.

I put a open element 12' filter from JDM on last week, now each time i shut my truck off i hear a hissing / sucking sound. I got my wife to shut the truck off a minute ago and it appears to be coming from the intake/open element area.

Is this normal ???

I have that same sucking sound, but it is all of the money flying out of my pockets

Check the 3 vacuum lines underneath elbow and also check all of your clamps to make sure they are tight.

yea it's normal. When you shut off your trk next time look at your boost gauge, at the same time it will rise from vac to producing 0 lbs of boost and stay there.

i just went out and tried it again and noticed exactly what you said. I watched my boost gauge in my new pod , and it went from 20 vac down too 0.

Thanks guys this is why i love this site.

mine does it too. When you cut it off mash the gas real quick and it makes a real loud sucking sound.
