Oops... superduty, not supercrew

Radio is just a pioneer head unit and CD changer. Both are single DIN units and the installer just kinda jammed em in there.

Coldie:

If you get any more guages your going to need an

hehe

Actually I'm going to install a dual wideband setup. I'll probably flush mount the digital readouts somewhere in the dash.

I like knowing what my truck is doing...

Plus it looks cool.

Jon: It doesn't look like I'll be able to make it. I'm got to dive that morning. I may be able to stumble over, but my truck won't be able to compete (unless they have a dirtiest competition)

Any close up pictures of it? Been very interested in something like this but didn't think there was enough room to make it look good.

Coldie, if you could take an up=close picture of the steering column pod that would be great. Thanks!

From: Colorado,
Coldie, Love your guage set up, great job.

I couldn't help notice your hoodscoop through the windshield. If you don't mind, as long as you have your camera out how about doing a seperate post on that. It looks like a shaker? I like what I see but it is a teaser. I want to see it all....

Just hit my gallery:

I'll grab pictures of the radio and the steering pod. Any particular angle you want?

Here's an inside shot (check out that wiring!)

Where did you get the remote controls for Escort 8500?

Does the pod interfere with the flasher controls at all? Did you have to modfy or cut it to install?

Thanks.

Remote control was simply from the escort store (snicker). It's a "smart cord straight wire" that I completely disassembled and built into the pod.

Steering pod doesn't interfere with the flasher at all. It has a nice molded hole and the flasher is easy to get to (see the picture and you can see the hole)

Just a thought, about everyones radar detector issues. You could just take the wire for ANY radar detector and hot wire it into where the temp/compass on the headboard. Really simple!!
