¿¿Who Makes the Best Chip??

I am going to buy a chip pretty soon and I was wondering who you guys thought made the best one. Doesn't have to be the best for the money... Just the best period. PSP? JDM? somethig I don't know about yet. Thanks for any feedback.

Also what does it mean to get you chip reburned, and is this something you have to do often?

thanks

I like Lays myself, with Doritos a close Second.

Actually I am happy with my JDM tuned Superchip chip. But all the tuners do a good job with their respective chip .

Thumbs up

I will go with Vinnie on this one, JDM for me but talk to all of the tuners and go with which ever one you feel more comfortable with, they all are good.

I like to think I do the best chips, but I'm sure every vendor will say the same. Asking this question, what you will find is that all chip vendors have both customers who love the chips, as well as customers who have not been happy. The best thing to do, is to contact all the chip tuners, speak to each one, ask all your questions, and then go with whomever you feel most comfortable with. Naturally, I would be happy to assist you on my end.

I already tried both of these, and I didn't seem to get the HP gain I was looking for so I'm back on the market again

I was looking at PSP website, and I liked the idea of the 4 way chip. What can you get for the 4 different settings? I kind of have a lot questions, b/c this will be the first chip I have ever bought. Just wanna make sure I get the right thing on the first try

You can do anything your heart desires... Well to a degree. Generally people will get Stock (w/ firmed shifts and no cyl. cut), Hot Street (more power, differant shift points, firmer shifts), Track (all out race mode for rae gas), and Anti-Theft (Truck will not start). I think, though not sure, Sal even has an economy program as well.

Is there like a valet parking program that gives it less HP than from the factory?(if for some reason I ever have to let someone use my truck.)

the 4 way chip is the best chip out there in my opinion! the more options the better. I'm happier then a pig in ***** with my PSP tuning thanks to Sal, but just like everyone else says call up he major tuners and see who your happy with.

I think you will be happy with any of the big 4 tuners on the board

I happen to use JDM to tune my truck, but JLP, PSP and REM do a great job too

hey tell us about yourself and your truck???

I'm just a 21 year old college kid who found out how much fun the L is. My friend "made" me test drive one and I was hooked.
I should be graduating pretty soon, unless I change my major a few more times(probably will ---Currently MIS). I already pushed graduation back a semester, so I can work my a$$ off during the summer to get the mods for my truck . My brother told me to stay in school as long as possible anyway . I consider the L an early graduation present to myself(that way I can justify getting myself another graduation present when the day comes.... hmmm maybe more mods )

BTW: College - University of Texas
Truck - Red '03 L - 100% Stock (for now)

Come to Fun Ford Weekend in Houston this weekend

http://www.funfordevents.com/2003/Ev...ton03_info.php

You will get to meet a lot of Lightning owners, watch them race and get to meet Jim and the crew from JDM.

I will also be there, thats reason enough to go, lol

Man I wish I could go to Houston this weekend. Kind of right in the middle of Finals, and I already have prior
reservations with a physics book. next week is the last week of school then I'm free for the summer . I thought about going up to New England this summer, once I decide what Tuner I am going to go with to get everything installed, and just b/c I've never been up there.(and I am a newb when it comes to installing car parts, so Im gonna have to seek professional help)
