It is a simple job to take it off, or is there something I should know before doing it? thanks

it's easy it 's only 8 bolts
be shure to disconnect the electrical out let, there is two bolts holding it to the hitch or there is a ground wire and a disconnect on the frame the choice is yours. i took mine off and the spare tire

Just disconnect the harness from the hitch and unbolt it from the frame. Use a floor jack to hold it up while unbolting. An easy 20 minute job. I used wire ties to hold the harness up or you could just lay it in the spare tire.

Did mine recently also. A couple of things to keep in mind -

1 - Those bolts fight the entire way. My Snap-On 3/8" air-driven impact wrench struggled through at least 70% of each bolt.

2 - It's heavier than the stock cat-back exhaust.
