Saturday on way to work I was on I-96 Westbound before Beck Rd exit and running late again! So were really crusing fast (again)
around 120, looking for the man I checked rearview and WOW,
I seemed to be leaving a smoke trail, BIG TIME!!!!! Scared the
@#!% out of me thinking I broke the motor for SURE!! Let off gas,
looked at gauges then saw temp rising and figured I popped a
hose or something like that and it wasn't smoke in mirror but a
vapor trail!!! Never went passed 1/2 way on temp gauge and must of lost 90% fluid in radiator. Drove to next exit still traiing
vapor but less amount for sure. Found heater hose split 4 inches
after adding water. I could not remove quick connecter so cut
out split and restrictor and filled up with temperary water. Is there a tool you use to take the connector off with? I'm dam sure
gonna get it to finish job and replace all hoses involved with heater and I/C Maybe slow down too? Na, don't think that will
happen!!

 

i think if you hit it with your new hammer, it should come off.. or something. LOL

The EXACT same thing happened to me on my way home, only at a lower speed.

Are my chip and pulley to blame?

Can anyone please tell me what could have caused this?
