Im on my way to Best Buy today to go play with all the big tv's I can't afford. I take the on ramp off of St George Rd to Rt 1. And a the stop they got 3 or 4 big a$$ utility trucks putting up a new sign, so I cant see Chit! So i intch out hopeing noithing comes and takes the nose of my truk with them. Well...I can't really tell so i just said screw it and stepped on it hard. F1's are screaming and smoking and I'm all sideways on RT1 I thought it was preatty cool gave those workers a good show...I look back too see all my smoke an as it begins to clear...theres Johnny law Well my heart dropped into my stomach and I became a 80 year old and started doing 10 under the speed limit. well he pulls up on the side of me now and I have my windows tinted another no no in NJ He just sat there and gave me the look of death. And then off he went All I know is next time I see him he's gettin a big ol box of jelly Douhnuts

I told this story before, but it bears repeating. I'm headed home one night and I hang a right off Victoria onto the 126. I like on-ramps because you can really nail it to get up to freeway speed, but this is one of my favorites, because its 90° so I can power slide around the corner as though its an auto-x turn. So I keep my foot in it, and as I get to the bottom of the ramp I see headlights coming up rapidly on my left. I can back off and let him go by, or nail it and try to beat him to the merge point. Guess what I did? But with the blower howling, just as I am about to surge ahead, what do I notice but this big gold star on the door. Holy s**t. At this point I can see him illuminate the light bar. I immediately get hard on the binders and pull off on the right shoulder and stop. The cop can't stop that fast, and he's in the left lane anyway, so he pulls off next to the center divider about 50 yards ahead of me. I sit and wait, expecting him to back up and cross the freeway and give me a citation. And wait, and wait, and wait. As I think about it, though, there's no way he could have painted me with the radar. They have forward looking and backward looking radar, but sideways, I don't think so. Anyway, after maybe 5 minutes (it seemed like an eternity the cop backs up so he's across the freeway from me and gets on his loudspeaker. "YOU CAN'T PARK THERE". So I yell out my window, "What do you want me to do?" And he responds, "GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE". I am only too happy to oblige. I exit at the first off ramp and he follows me, but I turn into an Albertson's lot, and he continues on. Whew, one of the narrower escapes I've ever had.

 

"YOU CAN'T PARK THERE"

 

This is not a truck story, but it is in the same mode…

Coming home from work one night in the old M3 (97 model), I nail it coming onto the freeway, and I am in the triple digits by the time I merge over into the far left lane, and about one minute I see the blues behind me….

The officer tells me that he painted me at 90mph at the bottom of the ramp, and after I broke 100mph he had to light me up, so I give him the license, and silently pray that I don’t go to jail. So anyway, as he hands me back my license, he tells me to keep it under 80mph, and have a good night.

Whew!

 

I've had a few close calls with the cops. This was a while back, right after i first chiped the truck with the 4.10's. i pulled up at a red light when up next to me pulls this old guy with his wife in a T-bucket, crome blower and all, he revs on me i rev back. Light turns green, i jump on it blow the tires hit the rev limiter, boost shuts off, and he blows past me. Just then a cop who was in my lane swerves around me and takes off after the T-bucket and pulls him over. I lucked out on that one.

 

one friday night i was cruising in the L along with some of my friends who were in a mini-van. we come up to a light side by side and to be funny i rev on him. i had no intention of going but he looked at me and revved back. just for kicks i gave it about 1/2-3/4 throttle...guess whos on the side of the road waiting at a light. by the time he pulled out he was about 3-4 cars back. that didnt stop him. he pulls in to the center(turn) lane and cuts in right behind. after about two mintues of following me he comes up to a stop light next to me and just shaked his head at me and takes off

 

He probably figured the load you dumped into your pants was punishment enough!

 

LOL Yeah it was with out a doubt a scary moment...I turned into best buy and after i left I seen him and another cop helping some dumba$$ with a big rig that decided to turn his trailor into a convertable!!
