Catch Can..... (Take II)

OK guys, which side is responsible for the greatest amount of oil in the intake. Passenger side or driver's? The driver's side has the shortest distance to travel; so, I would assume that is the answer. Is this correct? I'm trying to decide where to mount and connect a catch can. Hopefully this will help. I have a nasty problem with intake oil. Even with the oil breather cap on the passenger side.

Thanks,
~Roger

Looks like if you were trying for a PCV-free thread you might want to try again

Sorry Nathan
Didn't realize I was hijacking the post
I was only trying to help

I will gladly delete it

Just thought it would be nice showing him how he's
wasting his time if he only fixes 1/2 the problem.

Thanks guys.

I wish I could have seen what was edited though.

I don't ask many questions here, or start many threads, and try to help when I can. I joke and kid around a little too much I guess; but, hey.... that's just me. I didn't find the answer with the search function as I usually like to do, and hoped someone would answer my question for me. Whenever there is something I can help with, I jump at the chance to help out.

I understand that the PCV swap will keep the oil out of the intake. A search will turn up info on that no problem; but, as long as I don't know as much as the engineers at SVT, I will "measure" the oil and carbon, rather than blocking it off. Sorry for wanting to try something other than what you guys think I should.

I've never seen a 'catch-can' installed. FWIW, the oil seperators(that I've seen and installed(2) were placed in the PCV tube on the right side................
