HELP!!! My tranny troubles, please help!

I have an 02 L.

With:

2lb JDM pulley
JDM flipchip
Airbox Mod/K&N

Weather: 35 deg F

I was putting along at a low speed, decided I wanted to go fast. I kicked down into 1st and without a boom or anything all of a sudden all this smoke started pluming out from my truck. I pulled over and there was greenish fluid all over the ground along with a sweet smell (almost like maple syrup). The smoke eventually died down but it is still smoking slightly. I looked under the truck but I can't see where the smoke is originating from.

The truck itself runs fine. No lights come up on the dash, and it shifts properly, doesn't stumble, and ran 20 km (12-14 miles) home. Right now there is still some smoke coming from underneath my truck.

What is wrong with my truck? Someone please help. The thing has 14000 kms and the mods have only been on for 1000 of them (1/14 of the mileage).

Doesn't sound like tranny. Sounds like maybe a loose hose or burst radiator or something. The fluid you mention is coolant, not tranny fluid. Check your radiator and intercooler resovoir.

Intercooler reservoir is still full. The IC fluid smells different than the fluid on the ground.

Motor runs fine, tranny shifts fine.

I am sooo frustrated right now. I dunno what the hell happened to my truck.

Antifreeze has a sweet smell when real hot. I would check all your hoses. Is the radiator reservoir low on coolant?

If nothing is apparent up top, you probably blew off your bottom radiator hose. DON'T keep starting the truck up until you locate the exact problem, fix it and refill your cooling system.

Good luck.

From: Colorado,
What your describing is exactly what mine did with the leaky intercooler (under the blower) after the dealer refilled it and said it was fine! I checked the fluid level and it was ok? Then I was returning home (250 miles) when I got home the intercooler resevoire was empty. Quit smoking when I punched it to.

It wouldn't do it every time. Just on a hole shot after not doing it for a long while.

Then I unplugged my circulating pump and ran it that way (dry)until I got the cash to buy my replacement heat exchanger.
