There seems to be a lot of GA owners..

..so I was wondering if ya'll get together a lot or not? If so what do ya'll usually do and where do you meet at? I'm in Duluth and I bought my black '02 L about a month ago from mall of georgia ford (anybody know if they're a good dealership to deal with?)

Only thing I've done so far is a PSP filter. I'm looking to get a new exhaust but am trying to decide if I want... well of course I want.. I guess it's more if I can afford to get a full exhaust (LT headers, hiflow cats, catback) or just the catback. From what I've read it seems there isn't much of a performance gain from just a new catback but what about the whole system? Also, I'd really like to hear some different exhausts (Bassani, REM(dynatech), silver bullet, etc) if anybody would be kind enough to let me.

I know the exhaust isn't exactly the best bang for the buck performance wise but I really want a deeper meaner sounding truck. I think the stock exhaust is kinda tame.. I dont really like the sound of straight pipes tho. I'm thinking I'd rather wait till I get a pulley and some more mods before I get the chip (to cut down on the # of reburns).

Anyways just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a junior at Ga Tech so most of my money its going towards paying for the truck. Any advice/opinions on what I should do is definitely welcome.

Justin

Welcome, i live like 5 mins from mall of ga ford but I guess if your a tech student you spend most of your time down there. Oh well, they aren't a SVT dealer as far as I know but they have taken care of all my warranty stuff so far.......foglights, tail lights and a new airbox.

I have "stuff" on my truck too. Jeff, so far the fog lights are doing fine. I chickened out and left the material on the heat vent. I drove by Hooters on Saturday a few times but never saw any L's. Oh well.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Jeff, I mapped your shop and I found out that I work (co-op) down the street from you. From your shop I'm on the left, just before the train tracks/Atlantic Dr. I work at "E2M/Polytron". If I got some time I'll give you a call and see if I can swing by during lunch. I'd love to hear your bassani in person.

SpankDog, I'm actually up in Duluth every weekend and now that it's summer I'm living at home and commuting to tech for summer school (don't worry i got an old beater volvo for that haha). Who do you usually contact at the dealership for service and what happend to your taillights and airbox that caused them to need replacement? I'm assuming they replaced your foglights under warranty when they cracked, right? Also, I saw a white lightning maybe 2 weeks ago turning right onto Bell Rd. from Abbots Bridge/120, was that you? Since I've bought my L I've seen only 2 others on the road.... that white one and a Red one today at the intersection of State Bridge and 141 in Alpharetta.

Hey i work in duluth and I'm in and around there a lot so I bet ive seen ya a time or 2. My taillights fogged up and my stock air-box had a broken clamp so i said what the hell ill just get it replaced under warranty. I'll get you the guys name that i deal with over there. I also have the bassani and a few things so if we meet up sometimes ill let ya take it for a ride.

jc: Our son graduated from GT with a CS about 3 years ago. I have disowned him since he moved to la-la(LA)-land Is it as tough as he said it was?

Dan, I've heard horror stories about how hard CS is. I'm Mech E, so I dont know first hand, but I know it's harder than ME and ME is pretty hard. If your son still has a CS related job he must be doing something right haha, I'd give him a second chance.
