First time at the track for 1 year................

I have not had the time to race last year and didnt wanna run into warranty issues again like i did with my 2000.I ran my truck once last year stock and it ran 13.9s with excellent traction.

I went back last night and ran 13.65@101 on my first run with minor traction issues and a nice chirp into second gear.2.1 60 foot time.Must have been good air and break in.

then i backed it up with an almost identical run with another 13.65 @ 101.Consistant as they get.Im very impressed on that time concidering the traction issues and being BONE stock down to the air box.No hitch removed .....nothing.

anyway,iM HOOKED again and mods are on the way to me as we speak.im gonna go with a chip/4lber /valvebody and intake......THATS it period. At least ill have a 12 second truck again...........I miss the throttle respose and shifting of my old truck then it will lead to maybe slicks bu thats it!!!I hope

felt good to be at the track again.I never really lost my touch.(kinda) started off with a .6 light and second was a 4.9 .... touch too early.

Those are great times for a stock truck.

I got a little present for you sitting behind the seat of my truck

Oh and I made it home safe.

Thanks guys.Im gonna try out the micro tuner and try and save my warranty. If its decent,Ill keep it.if its not,BYE BYE.I really wanted a jdm chip but at this point I wanna keep warranty so micro tuner is my only option. If it is almost as good as a jdm tune,That alone will get me in 12s.*****,in 2000,I went 12.9 with a JL diablo only so i know a good tune when i see it.ANY chip should bring a 13.6 truck to a 12.9 with a good driver and traction.
.I hope the micro tuner has come at least that far...............You all know how honest and dry my opinion is,Details coming soon

haha

it might be if you can't get your truck to hook to the track.....like everyone else. That's why he was the fastest. Trucks with 4 and 6 lb pulleys were running stock times. Track is in bad shape.

haha

prepped track + street tires = ****. Better off on unprepped track with street tires. That's why they don't do a whole lot up there on street night, because prepping the track makes it worse, and most guys have street tires.
