Any thoughts from those running 285/60/18's?

Just curious about those running either the 285/60/18's or even the 285/50/18's out there. I know the diameter difference is 31.5 and 29.2 (our stock 295/45/18's are 28.3)

Did you notice any major difference due to the larger sidewall? ( Any loss of stability on turns? Any problems with rubbing for those running ram air kits? Would you buy that size again or go back to stock? Any pictures? Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance

IMO that tall of a sidewall would look horrible on a performance vehicle.

Indy cars have something like 60-series tires. I think they qualify as a performance vehicle.

I said *look*.

Besides, why are you even comparing our Lightnings to Indy cars? Go out there and find me a 285/60/18 that is a performance-oriented tire and is better than our stock 295/45/18 size tires.

Lower profile tires with stiffer sidewalls usually handle better.
