boost bypass???

went to the track tonight and am having a problem,I have my boost bypass unplugged and i get a flapping flatter type sound and loss of power upwards of 3000rpm.Im not sure if the bypass can activate when its unplugged but this is what it appears to be happining, has anyone encoutered this???truck seems to be shifting late it shifts arounds 5500-5700.Im not getting any detonation and the truck runs fine at low rpm,

im baffled

you hit your overboost shut the truck off and remove the negitive battery cable. this erases the soft code in the computer. i did the same thing and the truck was still stock so i bought the bypass to prevent this from hapening again. hope this helps

well like i said mine did it when it was 100% completly stock
mine went off when i was trying to pass someone and i thought i broke something because it almost shut off.it's just a fluke of the ecu i guess, the rest of the day around 3000 rpm it would stutter and until i turned the truck off and let it sit for a while it wouldn't stop. try the battery thing what could it hurt anyway?

Would you be talking about the rev limiter?

no, there is a saftey in the stok ecu that opens the pressure valve when you get around 4 psi when you hit the "Over boost"
but it doesn't act like a rev limiter because it still stutters form 3 to 5500 rpm. i fixed it by leting it sit for a few hours and then i found out from the svt mechanic that all i had to do was disconect and reconnect the battery
