Yes--but only 1.5-2 gals. By doing that, you will get no spillage of coolant that may run down onto your plug(s). Attach a vacuum or fuel/heater hose on the drainc0ck and direct it into a low-sided pan. Use a clean receptacle and reuse that coolant when done with the install.
