Selling 2000L & getting 03, how much
Selling 2000L & getting 03, how much
could I expect to retail the 2kL for? Only 11k miles, no perf mods unless you consider a K&N panel one. Has Bedrug & Roll 'n Lock, but might switch to new L. Also has Reflexxion steel "snake eyes" hood which I'd also probably switch if I got red 03. Has 6 yr. 75K transferable extended warranty. Intercooler replaced, eventhough not leaking. Mobil 1 since 800 miles. Xplan on '03 $29,800 correct? Thanks for any input!
Don't know for sure, it seems the L market, as well as the general used car market is really soft right now. About a month ago I thought about selling my '01 and felt like the most I could list it for was about $25k. It has 1,600 miles and the minor mods shown in my sig.
Good luck
Good luck
Thanks all for responding, but still no
input about potential sale price on '00? Will remember about toolbox, but since changer isn't in dash, I would need to leave it? Wouldn't trade in, know I'd really lose my shirt. Sell out right, buy '03 on xplan--I have PIN. For 6-8K I could move up three years, having much more equity, have those nice new heads (will be most desireable Gen II) ,plus making it a little easier to wait on 05.

Not sure how that will translate in to more equity unless you are paying cash for it ... In 2 -3 years The 2003 will be worth the same as the 2000 is now so your equity position hasn't changed your pocket just got lighter by 8k or more.
My version of it is, It would cost me 10k or so PLUS the cost of the mods I have in mine to upgrade. For 10k I can change out the entire drive train and have it be ready and willing to pump out 550 hp easy

Won't lose any money on mods if you read my first post. You don't think I can retail 00 myslef for $21k with that low mileage, plus transferable extended warranty for peace of mind for new private buyer? In Ga. the buyer will NOT have to pay any sales tax on mine a quick $1200+ saving over buying fromn dealer! Understand if I buy '03 in 3 years it will be where I am now in value, but you didn't take into account that my 00 wil be 6 years old with corresponding value due to age & mileage. As I said in original post 03 will be most desireable 2nd Gen. Kinda like my '67 Vette was most desireable of Stingrays!
