my 03 sonic blue L needs help

I thought you guys might be able to show me the way. I just bought my Lightning and would like some input on some mods. I am new to the super charged world. So what would you guys do first? Thanks in advance.

Put an cold air filter kit on it, then......

chip
pulley
electric fan kit
Long Tube Headers
Bassani cat back
Traction bars
drive shaft loop
Factory Tech valve body
and some slicks

I know some people willn't agree with this, but it got me to an 11.90

First thing you need to decide, how important is a warranty to you. Once you start getting into chips and pulleys, you risk the chance of not having a warranty on your motor. Other than that, then the chip, pulley, filter, Factory Tech Valve body combination will give you the best bang for the buck, and then you might want to look at traction bars and some racing slicks if your going to do the 1/4 mile. Good luck on whatever you decide.

Smile Don't forget the sparkplugs

You will need cooler plugs when you increase the boost

I'd go with the Factory Tech Valve Body first; the tranny is the weak link- besides. Like EVERYONE else says, you wish that was the first mod!! It rocks!

And since it's an 03' don't forget the shackles or whatever other method you like to bring the @$$ end back down.

You may want to wait on a chip until the diablo predator comes out. It reflashes your computer similiar to the way the hypertechs do to the LS1 cars. If you have to take the truck in you can put the stock program back in and take it into the dealer with no proof of a chip ever being installed..

Question the valve body...

Tim (or anyone else)

Will the factory tech void the warranty as well? My guess is yes but... just curious. Do you need a chip with the valve body as well?

Thanks,

Drew

Void warranty......havent heard of it happening yet on the VB, and no chip is needed. Plus if you do get a chip make sure they know you have it cause the line pressure needs to stay at the stock level.
