? For JDM & Users of their intercooler radiator

I am thinking of purchasing the JDM Intercooler radiator As summer is coming and the temps are going to be 95 to 105.

I am looking for any feedback on those that have fitted it. I am thinking it should keep the truck running at peak on the street.

Also what about its effect in the winter months? It gets real cold here sometimes as low as 15 degrees but often under 35 degrees. Will the radiator cause to cold an intake charge and possible detonation?

Thanks to those that reply.

I am very happy with the Heat exchanger. It just made sense to me. Cooler temps make for better efficiency.

About the winter stuff. I drove my L in 12 degree weather while it was snowing for 13 hours straight (yes 13 hours) w/ an 8# pulley on and had zero detonation.

Hope this helps.

Intercooler

I don't have the intercooler but I've bounced this around as well and I agree with VINNY cooler air makes better performance, side note on the chip side of your question, I live in Connecticut and this was the worst winter I can remember, I had zero problems with my chip in the single digit temps, I run a safe street program ( read:rich) and try to keep out of the boost on cold days.

I got one, and my thinking that it will help more street driving during the summer. Besides it looks cool!

And every little bit helps

Wink

The intercooler pump doesnt pump under 42 degrees or something like that . So it shouldnt be an issue, but i could be wrong....
