Paintjob

I know this topic has been discussed again and again, but i just recently seen a bigass chip on my passenger side right above the rear tire, its pretty deep too. So i got a couple of things i can do. Seeing as my mom and dad spotted me the money for my rims i can ethier pay them back with some money from my dirtbike which will be around (3800) im gettin and mod up the L with some extra money or i can use all the money to get me a sweet paintjob, personally i dont know what to do if i mod up the L i will probably get in even more trouble with tickets and all. But my L is a 01 and im thinking about going with a sonic blue paintjob with some airbrushed silver flames, got a guy around here that does some sweet paintjobs. Gimme ya info and tell me what ya think.

A real man would pay back his debt and plan and save for the mods or paint in the future. I know that this advice won't be nearly as much fun but none the less would be the right thing to do.

How about you discuss the situation with your parents and see how they react. Maybe you can try to get them involved with the color selection of the flames or let them get involved some other way with the build of your truck. Who knows, maybe they wont get pissed about spending the money on flames instead of paying them back. I know my parents were very open to discussions about the money I used to owe them. Getting them involved in my projects always helped

Owing money to parents is a difficult, yet rewarding experience.......I currently owe my parents a good chunk of money they lent me to sign the contract on my house I got under construction....................All they ever asked was that I pay them back in time to send my brother away to college (He's only 15 right now). I guaranteed them that I would pay them back as soon as I sell my current house, at the end of this year, with 5 points on top...........for any lost interest they will have incurred.

Whenever I get a new mod, or in my case, get a whole new vehicle, I make sure I include them in my decision...........not as a permission-type thing, but more as an FYI......so that they know that the debt I have with them is always fresh in my mind, and not forgotten.

If you have that type of relationship with your folks, and feel comfortable talking to them about things, then maybe you can put money towards both your debt, and your paint job.....

Good luck with your decision.....................jc
