Help!!!!

I have a L that I bought used about 2 years ago. Well the locking mechanism on the bed hardcover is broke. The only information I can find on the brand of the hardcover is a little sticker on one of the rails that are mounted on the edge of the bedrail. It says Continental Camper Company. It's somewhere in Tennessee but the city is smeared on the sticker and I can't read it. There is a serial # on it as well.(170595). I searched the Web and can't find this company. I need to figure out how I'm gonna replace this locking mechanism. Right now I am just driving around with the tailgate down because once you shut the hardcover you have to jam something between each corner to pop it open. The locksmith this morning said all I need is a new locking mechanism.
I am trying to avoid the dealer but I have a feeling I'm gonna be headed there. Any other suggestions?? Thanks in advance guys!

I would find a different locksmith. I would think that they could replace the locking mech. and hand you the correct key for it.
FWIW

Well they can replace the lock itself but the cables that run to each side of the bed need replaced because both springs that open/close the clamps to hold it shut are broke as well.
