Decided to visit my sister and nephew in Alabama(Montgomery) for the Easter holiday....Figured it would be a nice road trip to take in the L...Figured the trip to be 1000 miles, and I was close...1003.8 to her driveway....Only problem was that it took 18.5 hours....UGHHHHH.....There was accidents and traffic all over the place. At one point 50 miles or so outside of Atlanta GA. I moved 2.8 miles in 1 hour and 10 minutes....(Good thing I had the DVD player going, watching Duece Bigelow Male Gigolo)...But we finally made it here, and I gave the truck a nice bath the following morning.....

I averaged just about 16 mpg for the trip....What do you guys think of that, and has anybody else taken a long trip in the L and figured out thier miles per gallon average????

 

Man dont you just love an excuse to drive?

 

Road trips are the best in a Lightning. In 2000 I averaged about 17.2 MPG in my 99 L. Highway of course.
