Question Hypertech products... anyone use?

Hey all,

Anyone use any Hypertech products in their L's? I was looking at their website the other day and noticed the "Power Tuner III"... looked kinda interesting.

You mean the Hypertech Block Ventilator?? I wouldn't waste my money on that garbage. Give one of the tuners a call and you could get a custom burned chip for probably cheaper than that piece of *****.

yeah I'm not real sure about...

there stuff either. But the powertuner III or whatever seems kinda cool because it supposedly allows you to change the settings of the stock computer without adding or replacing it with another chip. ::shrug::

Would you rather you play with your air/fuel ratios and timing or have an experienced lightning tuner that has been doing this for a living?? I sure don't trust myself. I have heard of at least one person throwing rods through the side of his block because of it.

Talking well since ya put it that way...

Yeah... I'll have to agree with you there. I was just curious anyway. It'll be close to the end of the year before I can put the down payment on a gen II anyway. (I drive a '94 now... which will continue to be my daily. 126,6XX miles!) and before the "why don't you wait and get a gen III" starts... I need the truck to have a manual tranny so I can drive it... I use hand controls.
