I'm thinking the same thing ccla
Considerably Less could be 20-30 Grand off the 80
Still making it waaaaaaaaaaay to much money for most.
Plus it sounds like it truly will be a limited edition.

I have no fear, RT KILLA picked that name
to whoop these thrucks a$$, AND HE WILL
Schitt, I just ran (2) 12.0's this weekend, I can take then now too

Reminder to Self
Have Nitrous filled and hooked up 24/7 starting late fall

I wonder where they got the design for that lower front skirt. BTW they can do 13.8 stock with a professional driver. Makes me really scared. NOT

About three weeks ago I went to the Dodge dealer here in Metairie. I had the L clean enough to inspire awe. I pull in and I see three salesmen stand up through the glass showroom. I parked and couldn't get the door open good before a salesman approached me. He was nice and polite. I told him I was interested in the new Dodge truck with the Viper motor. He told me that they weren't out yet but should be out by the end of Fall. He procedes to tell me that they won't be cheap because the engine alone costs $10,000. Now everything was fine and he had my respect as a somewhat factual car salesman....and then he tries to sell me a Hemi. I told him that the only truck in the world that rivals the performance of my L isn't going to be available until the end of Fall and I wasn't going to step down in performance. He says that the only reason the L is fast is because of the SuperCharger. I'm like duh no shidt. And then he says to me if I bought a Hemi truck and supercharged it that it would be just as fast or faster than the L. Not wanting to argue I simply asked could I get that HemiTruck supercharged by Dodge and buy it with a 5 year 100k mile bumper to bumper warrantee? He said uhh lets ask my manager. It was pretty funny. All I wanted was to test drive the SRT-10 if it was there. The salesman estimated the price of the SRT-10 to be 50-60k.

I had planned on ordering the long block and trans for a project I was working on at one point, about 2 years ago. The motor and trans, before shipping, were $27k. With shipping, it would have been right around $30k... I decided against it.

Crap... You can buy a used early-model Viper for $35-40k....

Viper

Interesting fact about the Viper.

The Clamshell Hood cost more than the Engine on a VIPER!

When they are in accidents, the Clamshell hood was over $25,000 pricetag for a replacement part.

That is why they abandoned the idea on the new design Viper, the Insurance companies were complaining too much

A friend of a friend owns a body shop. He had to order a viper hood once at the tune of 14,000 I believe. Either way, way too much money.
